FOSTERING
For people who would like to help us out by bringing in a Dog to their homes. This helps prepare the Dogs to be Adoptable and we learn more about the Dogs in in a home setting. We would like fosters to give weekly updates and advertise and hold Meet and Greet with particular Dog. We supply food, treats, bedding, collars, leashes any Vet Care. The only downsize is, you could fall in love with the Dog and someone adopt it from you. We do give special pricing to Fosters.
ADOPTING
Adopting is a way to make sure the Dog is Yours and nobody can take him away. BUT he is yours to feed, pay vet bills and will be there forever. The Cons are that maybe he turns out to not be the Dog you thought he was :( We at Canine Love Dog Rescue want you and your Dog to both to feel its the perfect match, without feeling obligated from the get go that you are basically stuck with a Dog that doesn't fit in with your family and lifestyle. For the first 2 weeks of a Adoption, we call it a trail period.
IF in that time, you feel he or she is not a fit. We gladly will take the Dog back.
Our Regular Adoption Fee is $250 Our Dogs 9 months and older will all be Fixed. All our Dogs are Vaccinated, Wormed. We do not chip yet as i find people forget to change over. I am looking at chipping dogs starting this summer as i would rather them come back here then be a lost dog
PUPPIES under 6 Months Old
We do not SPAY OR NEUTER a 8 week old puppy or under 9 months old. In some situations we will fix a 6 month old Puppy, but only if is best for Dog and Family at the time. Some dogs are humping everything or attracting male dogs etc.
If anyone was to call a Vet and say they want to Spay or Neuter their 8 week old baby. They will say Absolutley Not!! 6 MONTHS is Minimum at Vets and they would prefer you wait to 1 yr old if you can.
Vets will not fix babies unless a Rescue, needs a favor... I don't want those favors. I prefer to give my dogs the best chance at a healthy life. I know not every dog gets health problems from early fixing ...but if it was so safe, Vets would be fixing 8 week old puppies for the general public
